Contract - Account Manager, Clickriver Ads

A9.com’s Clickriver Ads program is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and detail-oriented account manager. The position will have a broad focus including direct account management, sales support, and coordination of Clickriver customer support. This is a full-time contracting role.

Clickriver Ads is an advertising program from A9.com that allows businesses to place sponsored links on the Amazon.com marketplace. Clickriver Ads presents a unique opportunity to advertise products and services on earth’s biggest marketplace with tens of millions of active customer accounts. A9.com is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon.com dedicated to creating innovations in search technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Account Management
    • Build good working relationships and strong personal relationships with important advertisers, and develop a deep understanding of their business models and how Clickriver can work best for them.
    • Help advertisers to design and build broad ad campaigns or to import and adapt their existing campaigns from other advertising services. Provide advice on ad creative design and budgeting.
    • Educate advertisers on the use of Clickriver’s extensive reporting, campaign management and optimization tools.
    • Track the performance of significant accounts in order to identify problems and take proactive measures to improve performance.
    • Gather key feedback from advertisers and convey it to the product development and marketing teams.

  • Customer Support
    • Responsible for making sure all customer support inquiries are answered with appropriate and timely responses. Work with A9’s support team to review and monitor all responses.

  • Sales support
    • Help to identify and screen potential advertisers that may be approached by sales.
    • Work with sales once an account is closed to ensure that each advertiser gets up and running successfully.

Requirements:
  • Experience handling advertiser account management for an online ad network or online publisher strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years work experience.
  • At least 2 years account management experience in Search Marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record. MBA preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intelligent, detail-oriented and hard-working.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Good at understanding and working with others.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Able to prioritize effectively and get the important tasks done.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: a just-do-it attitude and strong results focus.
  • Strong knowledge of the Internet and broad familiarity with Internet business concepts and technologies.
